We keren terug naar de weelderige omgeving van Downton Abbey voor het zesde en laatste seizoen van deze fenomenale dramaserie. Aan onze tijd met de Crawleys komt langzaam een einde en we zien wat er gebeurt in de familie en de bediendes die voor hen werken. Ze worden geconfronteerd met nieuwe uitdagingen en gaan hun eigen weg in de alsmaar veranderende wereld. Geheimen en haarscheurtjes in de relaties bedreigen de eenheid van de familie, terwijl men beneden probeert te navigeren door de sociale veranderingen die hun banen op het spel zetten.
